NARRATIVE
These windows were commissioned by Selfridges in answer to their fantastical Christmas of Dreams theme for the holiday season 2021. My designs reflect both the fantastical glamour as well as the behind-the-scenes constructions of old Hollywood film and theatre sets. I tried to combine texture, colours and tactile elements to craft captivating scenes that each tell a unique, enchanting story.
MATERIALS
PVC fee vinyl, mirrored floor, glitter curtain, timber batten, chrome scaffolding, mirrored acrylic, spray paint, aluminium rod, plaster columns, artificial flowers, varnish, glue, led candlesticks, enamel varnish, steel pole, chandeliers, aluminium chain, diamanté droplets, cable-ties, artificial foliage, diamanté, glitter, spray-glue, varnish, artificial snow.
PROCESSES
Making custom prop pieces; Ornate candelabras, diamanté chandelier, chrome tube mirrors, chrome tube scaffolding tier, fantastical floating gardens.
